About Me

I am an aspiring game designer with an interest in game and gameplay programming.  I recently earned my Bachelors degree in Simulation and Digital Entertainment. My program specialization was in level design. I am motivated, project oriented, and excited to begin working in the industry.

This portfolio contains many personal and school projects over many years. Many of my projects where designed to test or attempt a specific goal. For example the project I am currently actively working on began as a test in writing an A* algorithm for path finding. The project has since evolved into more and I am looking forward to following the project as long as I am able.

Professionally much of my time is spent in Web Development which has provided me with a solid understanding of User Interface and User Experience. I believe that UI should be a facilitator and not a hindrance and the best UIs go largely unnoticed because they are there when needed and when not needed they are unobtrusive. Additionally, my own studies and personal analysis of the many games I play has helped to mold how I think about UI/UX.
